Based on preliminary figures, Audi exceeded its fleet-wide CO2 emission targets for the European Union as well as Norway and Iceland in 2021. With a value of 122 g/km, the company fell well under the legally required target value of 129 g/km. As a result, the brand made a positive contribution to the Volkswagen Group’s fleet-wide value, which not only satisfied the legal requirements but even stayed below them.

 

Every year, the Top Employers Institute honors the most attractive employers in over 120 countries. For the second time in a row, AUDI AG is among the companies selected in Germany. That means that Audi is now officially a “Top Employer Germany 2022.” Audi did particularly well in the fields of Digital HR and Diversity & Inclusion. Along with AUDI AG, the subsidiaries Audi Brussels, Audi México, Bentley, Ducati, Italdesign, and Lamborghini were also honored as “Top Employers 2022” in the countries of the respective company headquarters.

 

With the continuously growing number of electric models, the demands made on charging infrastructure is increasing. Today at the exhibition center in Nuremberg, the first Audi charging hub is going into operation as the only charging concept of its kind in the world. The Audi charging hub opens for customers on December 23. The modern quick-charging station with reservable high-power charging areas is oriented toward, among other things, electric car owners who don’t have any charging opportunities at home. Moreover, the Audi charging hub is intended to serve future peak demand for charging in urban environments. A connected lounge area offers a premium charging experience.

 

Despite the worldwide semiconductor shortage, Audi is still setting a fast pace on its path to the sustainable premium mobility of the future. That is evident in fully electric car deliveries in the past year, which increased by 57.5 percent over the previous year. Additionally, Audi more than doubled its product portfolio of fully electric models in the past year. Despite the difficult supply situation, in total, Audi-brand deliveries approached the previous year’s volume: in 2021, the company with the four rings delivered 1,680,512 models to customers, 0.7 percent fewer than in 2020. In the US, the previous year's performance was exceeded by 5 percent.

 

For the second time after 2018, the Audi RS 3 LMS has won the “TCR Model of the Year” title. Promoter WSC, which launched the TCR category in 2015 and licenses it, thus rewards the world’s most successful touring car from 14 manufacturers.
