It’s a journey through time back to the 1970s and 1980s. Under the motto “50 years of the Audi 80”, Audi Tradition will bring a special show with several anniversary cars to the Audi Piazza for the Night of Museums on September 3, offering an entertaining program from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Corporal pleasures will be provided for by the restaurant team at the Audi Forum in Ingolstadt.

Audi enters the premier class of motorsport. From 2026, the premium brand will compete in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship with a specially developed power unit. The project will be based at Audi Sport’s facility in Neuburg near Ingolstadt. This is the first time in more than a decade that a Formula 1 power train will be built in Germany.

Audi uses its Production Lab, or P-Lab for short, to identify new and innovative technologies and reliably integrate them into production sequences. In Gaimersheim, just a few minutes drive from the Ingolstadt plant, experts under P-Lab director Henning Löser test the suitability of trailblazing new solutions for series production. That means finding and testing innovations that reliably help optimize efficiency, ergonomics, flexibility, and quality in Audi plants.

Audi activesphere concept – this is the name of the fourth model in the family of concept cars that Audi has been introducing since August 2021. Not only do they all have electric drives, but they’re also designed to be capable of automated driving. This technical layout gives rise to entirely new designs, especially of the interiors and the offerings for those on board to use their time productively or just relax. Audi’s sphere concept cars collectively showcase the vision of the premium mobility of tomorrow.

The Audi activesphere concept, which is set to debut at the beginning of 2023, will offer maximum variability for an active lifestyle – both on and off-road. The brand will show off the three members of the sphere family that have already been introduced – the Audi skyphere, grandsphere and urbansphere concepts – for the first time together during Monterey Car Week in California in August 2022.

The Audi Group is presenting a solid balance sheet for the first half of 2022. Due to the ongoing semiconductor crisis and COVID-19-related lockdowns in China, Audi could not meet the high demand for its core brand vehicles. Despite this, the Audi Group’s revenues increased by two percent to €29.9 billion, and its operating profit reached a new high of €4.9 billion. At 16.5%, the operating margin was well above the previous year and above the strategic target corridor of 9 to 11%. Earnings were driven by the good price position, the solid operating performance of the Lamborghini and Bentley luxury brands, and support from raw material hedging. The Audi Group confirms its forecast for deliveries, revenue, and returns.
